Frederica Wilson wants answers on La David Johnson’s death

U.S. Rep. Frederica Wilson of Florida wrote an op-ed in today’s Washington Post asking for answers on what happened during the October ambush in Niger that left four U.S. soldiers dead.

Wilson, who has received national attention for taking on Donald Trump’s administration over how the president spoke to the widow of Sgt. La David Johnson, has been drawing attention to a different line of questioning over why troops were in Niger in the first place.

“Last week, I attended a confidential, members-only briefing about the ambush,” Wilson wrote in the op-ed. “Unfortunately, I left the briefing room with many more questions than when I entered.”
